Chicago Tokubetsu Keiko Kai

We will be holding a joint practice with our friends from the Buddhist Temple of Chicago on April 16th, beginning at 9:00 AM at the Japanese Culture Center in Lakeview. The training will be fun and will include sharing knowledge between multiple styles of swordsmanship and other koryu. We are looking forward to great training with everyone deepening our friendship!

As a correction to the previous post, the Chicago special training will take place on the 16th, and the Atlanta training will be the 22nd and 23rd.

Spring 2022 Tokubetsu Keiko Kai

We will be having special training sessions in Chicago and Atlanta the weekend of April 22-24, 2022. Students should plan on longer, more intense training that entire weekend.

If you are currently not a student or an introductory student, please discuss this training with your instructor if you would like to attend.

Mask Mandate Lifted

The city of Chicago has lifted its mask mandate as of 2022/02/28. Masks will be optional for classes at the Japanese Culture Center.
